The Salem Lady Wildcats soccer season came to an end losing to top seed Father McGivney at Breese Central 10-0. McGivney advances to the finals where they will play Mater Dei after they eliminated Central 1-0.
Today in regional 1a semifinals at Marquette, Roxana takes on Gillespie; at Althoff it’s the hosts and Wesclin followed by Maryville Christian and Columbia; Civic Memorial hosts Piasa followed by Jersey and Staunton; Carlinville hosts Olney followed by Pana and Greenville; Murphysboro is the hosts as they take on DuQuoin followed by Anna and Massac County.
In 2a, top-seed Waterloo advanced to the Carbondale finals with a 7-1 win over the host Lady Terriers.
Today, the Mt Vernon Lady Rams will travel to Triad to take on the hosts at 4:30. Also today, Carterville and Mascoutah play at Carbondale, Mattoon is the site for the Green Wave and Sacred Heart Griffin, Highland will play Glenwood at Quincy.
In 3a at Edwardsville, the hosts take on Springfield Southeast followed by Belleville West and Normal Community.
