Centralia Police say a 22-year-old Centralia man has been charged with four counts of criminal sexual assault following an incident at a birthday party with a 14-year-old juvenile girl.
Jefferson Jeuday of West Third was ordered by Judge Douglas Gruenke held without bond in the Clinton County Jail as the case proceeds to a July 20th jury trial.
Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says the alleged forceable sexual assault occurred when Jeuday was at a residence in Deerwood Mobile Home Park for a birthday party on April 30th. Police were called to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia when the juvenile arrived for completion of a sex assault kit.
Jeuday was taken into custody by Centralia Police on May 5th when he was located at his home.
Two of the counts claim sexual assault with the use of force. The other two were for criminal sexual assault of a victim unable to give consent. All the charges are Class 1 felonies.
Jeuday is due back in court on June 3rd for a preliminary hearing.
