Glenda J. Dobbs, 83, of Texico, Illinois, passed away at 5:20 pm January 7, 2021 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Glenda is survived by her children, Merwyn “Petey” Dobbs and wife, Tina of Texico, Illinois and Dan Dobbs and wife, Roxie of Monroe, Michigan; grandchildren, Tara (Dobbs) Hunley and husband, Jon of Monroe, Michigan, Jared Dobbs of Canton, Michigan, Callee (Dobbs) Hefner and husband, Jeremy of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Jenna Dobbs of Mount Vernon, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Jovi, Ari, Addilee, and Logan; brother, Robert Connaway; stepbrother, Harry Ray Connaway; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born June 1, 1937 in Mount Vernon to the late Robert and Mildred (Wehunt) Glenn. Glenda married Merwyn Osborne “Pete” Dobbs on November 8, 1958 in Dix, Illinois. They were blessed with 51 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 22, 2010. In addition to her parents and husband, Glenda was preceded in death by her son, Kyle Dobbs.
