Shaun Wade Ford, 47, of Junction City, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Shaun was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval. He enjoyed his time spent outdoors working on his yard to make a comfortable place for friends and family to gather. During these gatherings, Shaun could be found behind the grill filling the air with the aromas of delicious food. He was also one of NASCAR’s biggest fans. He enjoyed the enthusiasm and adventure of NASCAR races. He was an animal lover and spoiled his loveable dogs, Sasha and Sophie, and Sabrina the bunny with attention and their favorite treats. Shaun was a true provider for his family and his daughter, Sierra was his greatest joy. Shaun treasured the time he and Sierra spent together, having fun and helping her navigate through each season of her life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is privileged to be assisting the family of Shaun Ford with arrangements. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Those in attendance will be asked to wear a mask and the number of people in the church will be limited to 10 at a time. A celebration of life service will be held private at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Steven Pautler officiating. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Shaun’s honor to his daughter, Sierra’s education fund. He married the love of his life, Stacey Nalewajka on April 12, 2008 in Junction City and she survives in Junction City. Along with his devoted wife, Stacey Ford, survivors that will remember Shaun’s contagious laugh include his beloved family, daughter, Sierra Ford; father, George Ford and wife Margerie of Goreville; mother, LaVonna Kerley of Du Quoin; siblings, Allen Ford of Benton, Tim Ford of Du Quoin, Wendetta Tilley of Du Quoin, and Jonathon Ford of Du Quoin; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eugene and Nancy Nalewajka of Junction City; brothers-in-law, Tony Nalewajka and wife Lana of Odin, and Ashley John Nalewajka of Sandoval.

He was born on January 25, 1973 the son of George and LaVonna (McKinnies) Ford in Herrin.
