The Salem Lady Wildcats opened up their post season with an 8-0 home win over Metro East Lutheran yesterday afternoon at the Salem Soccer Complex. Shelby Johnson scored 3 goals for the hat trick. Jordan Kessler added 2 goals with Kinnley Eagan and Riley Killian adding goals. Salem travels to Breese Central for semifinal play against top-seed Father McGivney Monday at 4:30. Breese Central will play Mater Dei at 6:30 Monday in the other semifinal.
The Annies season came to an end falling to Carbondale 1-0 on the road in 2a play.
Also in 2a soccer today, Alton will play at Jacksonville.
