Douglas F. Eblen, 66, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:25 pm December 15, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Doug worked as a supervisor for products and promotions at Anheuser Busch for 26 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and loved to trout fish. Most of all, Doug enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

Doug married Tanya (Jones) Eblen on October 14, 1989 in Bluford, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly 31 years of marriage. In addition to his beloved wife, Doug is survived by his children, Amanda Sears and husband, Shawn of Bluford, Ashleigh Russell and husband, Chad of Salem, Illinois, and Ryan Eblen and wife, Amanda of Effingham, Illinois; grandchildren, Shae Sears and Sloan Sears; great-grandchildren, Brendan Cross, Lucas Cross, Amelia Cross, Eden Russell, Alexander Russell, Cory Russell, Kameron Russell, Tabitha Eblen, and Eleanora Eblen; and a step-great-granddaughter, Sofiah Russell.
He was born March 17, 1954 in McLeansboro, Illinois to the late Bart and Nancy (Smiley) Eblen. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his sisters, Valerie Ratliff and Tracy Webb.
