Donald Ray Lingafelter, 73 of Salem, Illinois died Monday December 14th at Barnes Hospital in St Louis, MO. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during which time he was deployed to Vietnam. Following his military duties, he worked as a Real Estate Broker until his retirement.  He was also affiliated with the following organizations: Shriners, Mason’s and Disabled American Veterans. Don was an active member of Salem First Baptist Church. Don enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and serving the Lord.

Funeral services for Donald Lingafelter will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Salem First Baptist Church with Dr. Andy DeWitt officiating. Masonic Services will be held at 1:30 pm prior to the service, with a Shriners walk through to follow. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Salem, with military rites by the Centralia American Legion Post 446 and the Centralia VFW Post 2055. There will be a visitation at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Don is survived by one sister Debbie (Mike) Pugh of Salem. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Bryce Hanes, Allison, Molly, Landon Faries, Bradon and Brylee Hanes and Sydney Stadler along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.  On June 9, 1996 Don married Brenda Faries and together they have four children. Angie (Steve) Rivard of Mableton, GA, Clay (Kathy) Faries of Puxico, MO, Amanda Hanes, Craig Lingafetler (Donna) all from Salem, Illinois.

Don was born on January 13, 1947, in Salem, IL, the son of Ray Dell and Leitta “Lee” (Crisel) Lingafelter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
