Robert W. Jackson, 75, of Centralia, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Robert served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Centralia V.F.W. Post 2055. Robert loved going fishing.
Per Robert’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In honor of Robert, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, National Autism Association, and the Centralia V.F.W. Robert is survived by his three sons: Robert “Rob” Jackson of Hoffman, Tyler Jackson of Centralia and Travis Jackson of Centralia; two grandchildren: Cody Jackson of Hoffman and Kyle Jackson of Carlyle; a sister: Suzy Chisholm of Belleville; a nephew: Jeremy Chisholm of Belleville; and two great-nephews: Hunter and Hayden Chisholm.
He was born June 19, 1945 in Tyler, Texas, the son of Robert L. Jackson and Mamie (Walker) Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
