John Robert Hall, 60, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:39 am December 9, 2020 at his residence. John was proud to have worked as a taxi driver for 40 years. He was of the Baptist faith. John was greatly loved and will be missed. Per John’s request, there will be no public services held at this time. Inurnment will take place at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon.

John is survived by his siblings, Mary Powell of Mount Vernon, Carolyn Sue Sinks and husband, Fred of Augusta, Georgia, Betty Webb and husband, Don of Mount Vernon, Janet Kash and husband, Charlie of Paducah, Kentucky, Bonna Dean Clarke and husband, Steve of Mount Vernon, Linda Hall of Mount Vernon, Larry Hall and wife, Pat of Kell, Illinois, and Bill Hall and wife, Debra of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Crystal McLaughlin and Chalis Michael Bain.
He was born April 27, 1960 in Mount Vernon to the late William Vacie and Evelyn (Weatherford) Hall. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Jo Piper and Norma Lieras.
