Brandon Michael Metcalf, 33, of Nashville passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021. Brandon served in the United States Army, as a part of the Military Police, with pride in Iraq. He was a loyal employee of the Illinois Department of Corrections as an officer. He was known for his love of sports and enjoyed the excitement of attending games in different stadiums. Brandon was the ultimate fan for his favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers, and he loved to cheer them on to victory. He liked to spend time outdoors shooting guns and trying for a hole in one at golf. Brandon felt most at ease while hanging out with his family and friends, laughing, sharing stories, and making lasting memories. He was proud to be a dog lover and made sure spoil his dog, Bane any chance he could. Brandon’s contagious smile and love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Brandon Metcalf with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Sam Hester officiating. Military rites will be accorded before the funeral services by Nashville American Legion Post 110. Paying tribute to Brandon’s services, Patriot Guard riders and IDOC Honor Guard will be in attendance. Friends are welcome to a visitation time from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Brandon’s honor to the Family’s Wishes. Survivors include his father Michael (Terry) Metcalf of Nashville; mother Debra Squire of Centralia; brothers Troy Branch of Iowa, & Steven Martin of Centralia; sisters Amber Metcalf and significant other Joe Orrell of Salem, Veronica Whisler of Patoka, and Katlynn Mullins of Patoka; stepsister Molly Zgonina of Nashville; and nieces and nephews Keyton, Kaia, Krislyn, Kloe, Konstance, Aaliyah, Serenity, Kelsey, Olivia, Evelynn, and Merytt.
He was born on April 29, 1988, the son of Michael Metcalf and Debra Gilbertson in Centralia. Brandon was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents; infant sister Erica Metcalf; and stepbrother Garrett Meyer.
