James C. “Jim” Kane, 67, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 pm August 10, 2021 at his residence. Jim was a member of Victory Christian Church. He was an avid Saint Louis Cardinals fan. One of his favorite past times was watching movies with his family. Jim will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Ten Post Oak Cemetery in Keenes, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 3:00 pm Pastor Tom Hunter officiating. Jim is survived by his son; Matthew J. Kane and wife, Amber, Dalton Kane, and Joshua C. Kane, all of Mount Vernon; daughters, Sarah James and husband, Mark of Marion, Illinois and Alicia Hall and husband, Patrick of Mount Vernon; grandsons, Travis Richardson and Elisha Kane; brother, Bob Kane and wife, Phyllis of Waltonville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born March 24, 1954 in Saint Petersburg, Florida to the late Melvin and Aleen (Crowell) Kane. Jim married Sharon (Garrod) Kane on August 13, 1988 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly 33 years of marriage.
