Jasper “J.B.” Bolton, 79, of Salem, Illinois passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Odin Care Center surrounded by his family.
J. B. was an employee of World Color Press at several locations for over 35 years. Personally, he loved to fish and was a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Per his wishes, simple cremation was observed. There will be no formal public service at this time. Memorials may be made to Oil Belt Christian Church, or the Donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. J. B. was born August 12, 1942, in La Follette, Tennessee, the son of Jeremiah and Tempa (Walden) Bolton. He married Donna L. Johnson on January 24, 1963, in Kokomo, IN and she preceded him in death on May 26, 2021.
Surviving are his children, Mike (Danette) Bolton, Larry (Jeri) Bolton, Gary (Sandra) Bolton, and Sheila (Gary) Denton; 7 grandchildren including Courtney (Brett) Wehking, Ashley Bolton, Lindsay (Dillon) Harper, Logan (Ashley) Bolton, Capt. Aaron (Rayla) Bolton, Brock (Miranda Haeuber) Bolton, and Adam (Angel) Albaugh. Also 10 great-grandchildren: Mallory, Miles and Mason Wehking, Gavin, Gabby, and Gage Harper, Issac and Raegan Bolton, Naveah and Anakin Albaugh; along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his siblings Willard (Elsie) Bolton, Tom (Roberta) Bolton, David (Mary) Bolton, Josie Norris, Delphine (Carlee) Pearson, and Rose Ploss,
J. B. was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Conlas Bolton, Jackie Lee Bolton, Graylon Walker, Bertha Cox, and a special granddaughter Lexi Bolton.
