James F. Hoffmann, 84, of Salem, Illinois passed away at Salem Township Hospital with his wife by his side. Prior to retiring, he was General Manager of an electronic company in California.
Simple cremation was chosen with burial to take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, California. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. Box 97, Salem, IL 62881, 618-548-1234, entrusted with the family’s care.
Born April 6, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of Sharon and Bernita Hoffmann.
He married Lie-Lotte Swensson, June 17, 1972, in Monrovia, CA and she survives in Salem.
Also surviving are his children, Jeffery Hoffmann of Boulder City Nevada, Janice Freeman and husband Craig of Chino Hills, CA, Joan Hoffmann of Mohave Valley, Arizona, Sheralee Price of Vancouver, Washington, Also grandchildren, Rachel Price, Katlin Price, Jared Price, Holly Howell and husband Matthew, Chelsae Freeman, Nicole Freeman, Mitchell Anderson and wife Darlene and their children Kaylee, Robert, Crystal, Khaleesi, and Kylie, along with several more great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Brian Anderson.
