James “Jim” E. “Jimbo” Bucy Jr., 34, of Patoka passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Salem Township Hospital. Jim grew up in the United Pentecostal Church in Patoka. He was a proud Patoka Warrior offering his athletic abilities to both the school’s basketball and baseball teams. His competitive spirit carried on to his love of professional sports. Jim never missed a game where the St. Louis Rams, Blues, and especially the Cardinals were playing. His knowledge on player’s stats was remarkable and he liked to share this knowledge with others. He enjoyed watching classic 80’s wrestling and loved listening to oldies music. Jim had a passion for cooking and creating his own spice combinations to add unique flavor to his dishes. His food creation skills were much appreciated at his place of employment, the Fast Stop in Patoka. He was a champion for any animal that was mistreated, rescuing them, and placing them in a loving home. Jim was an amazing uncle who always made time for his niece Destiny, taking her to the movies and out to eat Chinese. Jim had a special patience with children, treating them with kindness. He was reliable and loyal, making sure to be available to help with his niece Destiny, and his nephew Xander. Jim will be deeply missed and remembered loving by all his family and friends.
