Aaron Dale Reed, 20, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 5:30 am July 30, 2021. He was born November 20, 2000, in Mount Vernon.
Aaron recently graduated from Mount Vernon Township High School. He attended Summersville Pentecostal Church and served by driving the church bus and helping his pastor build cabinets. Aaron was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his friends. His contagious smile and bright personality will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 10:00 am at Hughey Funeral Home Interment will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Aaron is survived by his father, Allan Reed and wife, Rebecca of Texico, Illinois; mother, Anna Frees of Mount Vernon; siblings, Tyler Reed of Centralia, Illinois, Matthew Reed of Mount Vernon, and Nicole Swinnen and husband, Michael of Saint Clair, Illinois; nephews, Dexter Swinnen, Braxton Reed, Kayden Reed, Kyson Reed, Karter Reed, and Kohen Reed; grandparents, Wayne and Virginia Reed; great-grandparents, Linda and Larry Schmidt; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dennis and Joyce Frees; and great-grandparents, J.B. Tate and Fannie Mae and Thomas Reed.
