Jeanette “Jean” Rae Minor, 83, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 4:15 p.m., July 9, 2021, at her home.

Mrs. Minor was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed attending to her flowers and garden, as well as interior decorating, and cooking for her family. She attended Webber Township School and Zion United Methodist Church.

A graveside service honoring Mrs. Minor will be held at 11 am, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Wheeler officiating.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O. She was born on April 12, 1938, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Dowell and Florence (Green) Robertson. She married Kelly R. Minor on March 23, 1968, in Mt. Vernon, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Kelly Minor;  she is survived by a son, Max T. Thackrey, Jr., and wife Cheryl;  daughters, Mitzi Williams and husband Dwight, Tina Porter, and Kelley Taylor and husband Dale, all of Mt. Vernon;  eight grandchildren;  six great-grandchildren;  and a brother, Bill Dowell Robertson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Autumn Pittman; a son-in-law, David Porter;  two sisters, Jo Ann Langdon and Betty Richardson;  and a brother, Bob Robertson.
