Wanda  Lawler, 79, Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:10 am July 5, 2021, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Family Life Church in Mount Vernon. A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 pm at Family Life Center with Pastor Kent Jackson officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Harmony Cemetery in Mount Vernon. She was born March 17, 1942, in Hallidayboro, Illinois to the late Stanley and Sophia (Holland) Stamm. Wanda married Lonnie Lawler on June 5, 1957. They were blessed with 53 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on July 4, 2010.

Wanda is survived by her children, Shelly Koch and husband, Johnny of Mount Vernon, Janet Drew and husband, Larry of Bluford, Illinois, Keith Lawler and wife, Andi of Mount Vernon, Michael Lawler and wife, Dianna of Bluford, Cathy Cook and husband, Delvid of  West Jordan, Utah, and Tommy Lawler; grandchildren, Crystelle Rainwater and husband, Joshua, Julie Jackson and husband, Kent, Justin Drew and wife, Emily, Bradley Drew and wife, Nichelle, Jami Burch and husband, Doug, Lonnie Lawler and wife, Aisha, Matthew Lawler, Rachelle Lawler, Allison Kinney and husband, Everett, Ashley Lawler and wife, Megan, Lance Cross, Laura Lawler, and Wendy Lawler; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Mona Raye Rees.

In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Lawler, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kylie Elizabeth Drew and Kolby Russell Drew; and special cousin, Tex Melvin.
