Michelle Lowery, 57, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 8:00 pm June 27, 2021 at her daughter’s residence in Belleville, Illinois. Michelle had a passion of caring for others and graduated Cum Laude from SIU-Edwardsville with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She loved her time in Pediatrics. Michelle adored her grandchildren and will forever be “maw maw chell.” Michelle enjoyed sports from little league to the St. Louis Cardinals and was always the loudest in the crowd. Her laughter and love will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm with Mr. Marty Mills officiating. Michelle is survived by her father, Norman Huff of Bluford, Illinois; children, Andria Clarke of Shiloh, Illinois, T.J. Lowery of Benton, Illinois, Whitney Walker and husband, Bert of Belleville, Illinois; grandchildren, Brennon and Wrenley Walker and Sawyer Clarke; sisters, Gay Huff of Bluford, Illinois, Tonya Eubanks and husband, Mike of Woodlawn, Illinois; aunts, Diana Hirons of Bluford, Illinois, Joan Shafer of Bluford, Illinois; cousins, Chad Hirons and wife, Chonda of Bluford, Illinois, Doug Shafer and wife, Karen of Bluford, Illinois; and former husband, Randy Lowery of West Frankfort, Illinois.
She was born November 14, 1963 in Salem, Illinois to Norman and Peggy (Blankenship) Huff. Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Huff; cousin, Trent Hirons; former father-in-law, John Gockel; grandparents, Carl and Nell Blankenship, Ralph and Opal Huff; and uncle, Dean Shafer.
