Shelly (Severs) Myogeto, 44, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 7:00 am June 28, 2021 at her residence. Shelly was a self employed janitorial cleaning technician before the onset of her sickness where she met and worked hard for a few really great people. She was a Baptist growing up, fundamentally changing that to Nondenominational as her life evolved. Shelly was an avid animal lover and would try to nurture, save and re home lost ones frequently. Shelly felt that all animals should be treated as family if you own one. Their souls are much purer then that of humans, so hug your fur baby if you have one. She felt that everyone should take responsibility when making a choice to own an outdoor animal. They need lots of shade, straw, food, water, and playtime. Animals will show you more love then any other being if you do! Shelly fought many battles here on earth, but always got up to fight again. She supported N/A and second chances. Shelly believed no one should ever give up right before the miracle happens.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Shelly’s honor to the National Cancer Research Analysis. Call Hughey Funeral Home at 618-242-3348 or visit hugheyfh.com for further information.

To my top three friends, Jimmy Phillips, Michael Schnicker, and my love, Wayne Crouch: Thank you for your part in my story – each of you!
To my beautiful niece, Krystal Johnson: Keep shining, baby, keep shining!
To my amazing, beautiful stepmom: Thank you for being a part of our family. I know it has not always been easy, but try to stay healthy please for my dad. He’s going to need you so badly right now. Help him come out of this, please.
To my dad: I love you with all my heart and soul. You’ve always been in my corner, dad. I’m most hurt because I won’t get to be in yours!! We share a bond NOBODY can ever fill and I will be waiting on you when you get here. Until then, please live, love, have fun, and be YOU! Don’t let this destroy you. I’ll be right there in your heart forever!!
To my sister, Joanna: I’ve always only wanted good things for you and I hope that someday you will see that for yourself. I love you very much. Take care and be easy on Dad while he struggles to put this behind him, please.
To my sister, Sheila: Thank you, for all of the years of your love. You are my bestest friend at the end of the day. I hope you find the missing piece you long for and don’t be sad over me. Somebody had to take one for the team – I’m the weakest link unfortunately! I’ll be counting on you to look after dad as he gets older. I wish I could do it, but I guess not now… I love you sister, I’ll be seeing you again.
Stacy Garrison: I love you!
Cuma Lee: I love you!
Somer Lowery: I love you!
Clyde Andrew and Alice: Mommy has never had a hint of happiness since the day I was forced by illness to give you to your dad!! Clyde’s my ride or die.
