Tammy Lynn Vaughn, 53, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on June 24, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. Tammy worked for MedLine for many years. She was the assistant director at Happy Times Day Care and Good Samaritan Daycare. She loved her family dearly, especially her granddaughters and her mother’s dog, Bentley. Tammy was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew and adored her.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Tammy’s honor to the Vaughn Family, in care of Cleora Brown. Tammy is survived by her fiancé, Maurice Brown of Mount Vernon; children, Cleora Brown of Mount Vernon and Tyler Brown of Benton, Illinois; stepdaughters, Terrea McAbee of Nashville, Tennessee and Chrishana Wright and husband, Romo of Georgia; granddaughters, Charlie Brown, Amira Gardner, Amia Gardner, and Modesti Meredith; brother, Kevin Vaughn of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born October 25, 1967 in Mount Vernon to Pat (Sandy) Vaughn and the late Curtis Vaughn.
