George William Roddy, age 67 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at his home in Salem.
Bill was the owner of Wilson-Roddy Ambulance Service for many years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan. He had served in the Nation Guard. More than anything he was a loving grandpa to all of his grandkids.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Private graveside services will be held at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
Bill was born on August 2, 1953, in Lantana, Florida the son of Joseph P. and Donna J. (Brasel) Roddy. He married Becky (Minton) Roddy on May 5, 1973, and she preceded him in death on June 3, 2009.
He is survived by his three children, Matt Roddy and wife Stacy of Salem, Emily Haines and husband Chad of Odin, and Lindsey Adreon and husband Nathan of Aplington, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, Jenelle, Katie, Carson, Tommy, Kaden, Riley, Marley, Hudson, Abby, Colin, Emma, Kinley, Brady, Lila, Brennon and Madison; three great-grandchildren, Weston, River and one on the way; and siblings, John Roddy, Theresa Crouch, and Rick Roddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Becky.
