2021 06/24 – Patricia Joann Fuller

Patricia Joann Fuller, 83, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away at 1:14 pm June 22, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Fuller was a member of VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and Eagles of Poplar Bluff, Missouri Auxiliary. She worked as a bartender for Moose and AMVETS and ran Mount Vernon Gun and Sportsman’s Club. Patricia later worked as Campground Gate Attendant for Corps of Engineers.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Kirk Cemetery in Ina, Illinois with Reverend Merle Fullerton officiating. Interment will follow. Patricia is survived by her brother, Carl Galiher and wife, Nora of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters, Joyce Wade and husband, Clint of Dahlgren, Illinois, Vicki Porter and husband, David of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Sharon Briggs of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Ruth Davis and husband, James of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Doris Ozee and husband, Ron of Chickasha, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born September 13, 1937 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Hershel Woodrow Galiher and Dorothy Marie Senkint-Vaughn. Patricia married Dean Fuller on November 1, 1980 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly thirty-one years of marriage before he preceded her in death on October 27, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings, James Galiher, Shirley Bodine, Mary Capps, Carol Webb, Jackie Galiher, Donald Galiher, and Alice Sweetin.
