Cindy Fiedler, 61, of Centralia, Illinois passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021, in Trenton, IL in the loving care of her daughters. She worked for Bill’s Tax Service in Centralia for 34 years. She loved to read, play cards, and going fishing. She enjoyed anything that was the color purple. Most of all, Cindy cherished the time she spent with her loving family.
Funeral services for Cindy Fiedler will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. Alan Newcomb officiating. A private family burial will take place at Summit Prairie Cemetery in Salem. Visiting hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. Box 97, Salem, IL 62881 entrusted with the family’s care. Surviving are her daughters, Crystal Stewart and husband Shaine of O’Fallon, IL, Amber Tolbert and husband Jon of Trenton, IL and Jodi Carpenter and husband Curtis of Centralia, IL, along with grandchildren Trevor Stewart, Trenton Applegate and wife Ashley, Tyler Stewart, Kylie Tolbert, Brayden Carpenter, Emma Carpenter, and great-granddaughter Elizabeth Applegate. Also, surviving are her sisters, Gay Ann Geiler and husband Tony; Lisa Middleton, and mother and father-in-law Joann and Mike Holzhausen all of Salem.
Cindy was born August 12, 1959, in Salem, IL, she was the daughter of Daniel E. and Mary E. (Woodward) Middleton. She married David Allen Fiedler on September 8, 1978, in Salem, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2013. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Clark.
