Teresa Elaine Scott, of Mt. Vernon, died on Monday, May 24, 2021, at her home, with her family by her side. She loved her family, gardening, and her puppy, Bullet. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Cosmetology School, and was a member of East Salem Baptist Church, and an officer of the Mt. Vernon chapter of the DAV.
Osborn Funeral Home of Dix, Illinois, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements, and Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, at East Salem Cemetery. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Laura Epplin and husband Vince; son, Nathan Scott and wife Rebecca; granddaughter, Carissa Vaught; and seven grandsons, Wyatt, Cody, Baylor, Hudsyn, Guthry, Andersyn, and Nolyn Scott.
She was born April 8, 1945, the daughter of the late Ted and Pauline Darden. She married her husband, Roger Scott, on March 11, 1967. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Darden, Jr.
