2021 06/11 – Joyce Lavina Beppler

Joyce Lavina Beppler, 80, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:43 pm June 8, 2021 at Gateway Deaconess Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. Joyce was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Dan Harriman officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone who has not been vaccinated to wear a mask. They will be made available, upon request. Joyce is survived by her children, Stella Vest of Flora, Illinois, Carl Beppler of Georgia, Mike Beppler and wife, Lori of Fairfield, Illinois, Jimmy Beppler and wife, Janet of Olney, Illinois, James Beppler and wife, Janet of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Julie Campbell and husband, Brad of Iowa, Tonyia Morgan and significant other, Russell Marlowe of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Darrell Beppler of Mount Vernon, Illinois; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and sisters, Sandra Wiggington and Carolynn Collins, both of Arkansas.

She was born February 17, 1941 in Cabot, Arkansas to the late Raymond and Sarah (Hall) Graham. Joyce married Luther Newton “Sonny” Beppler on February 14, 1966 in Conway, Arkansas. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 6, 2020. In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Beppler; and sister, Lindall Parker.
