Jeret married Lee Ann (Sledge) Shaw on February 12, 2012 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Jeret is survived by his beloved wife of nine years, Lee Ann Shaw; father, Jere Shaw and wife, Karen of Mount Vernon; son, Justin Shaw of Ina, Illinois; step son, Dakota Sledge of Mount Vernon, Illinois; granddaughter, Gracie Sledge of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brother, Jeff Shaw and wife, Lydia of Mount Vernon, Illinois; step father, Charlie York of Mount Vernon, Illinois; step sister, Ann Ashby of Centralia, Illinois; step brother, Rusty York and wife, Karen of Denton, Texas; sisters-in-law, Lisa Urbowicz of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Stacy Sledge of Farmington, Missouri, Mary Sledge; brothers-in-law, David Sledge of Ocala, Florida, Rusty Sledge of Ocala, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was born July 9, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Jere Thomas and Judith “Judii” A. (Johnson) Shaw. Jeret was preceded in death by his mother, Judith “Judii” A. York.
