Donna Lynn Bolton, 75, of Salem, Illinois passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Odin Care Center surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Donna worked at Salem Township Hospital for 33 years, retiring as Supervisor of Housekeeping. She also cleaned houses, doctors offices and was a caregiver for several people in Salem. She enjoyed making blankets for others and spending mornings drinking coffee at Hardee’s Donna cherished her time with family and especially loved being a grandma!
Per Donna’s wishes there will no public service. A family service will be observed at a later date. Memorials may be made to Oil Belt Christian Church, or the Donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. She married Jasper Bolton on January 24, 1963 in Kokomo and he survives. She is also survived by 4 children: Mike (Danette) Bolton, Larry (Jeri) Bolton, Gary Bolton and Sheila (Gary) Denton; 7 grandchildren, including Courtney (Brett) Wehking, Ashley Bolton, Lindsay (Dillon) Harper, Logan (Ashley) Bolton, Capt. Aaron (Rayla) Bolton, Brock (Miranda Haeuber) Bolton, and Adam (Angel) Albaugh. Also 10 great grandchildren: Mallory, Miles and Mason Wehking, Gavin, Gabby and Gage Harper, Issac and Raegan Bolton, Naveah and Anakin Albaugh; two siblings Tommy Johnson and Mona Foust, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Donna was born August 10, 1945 in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Abraham and Helen (Wysong) Johnson. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sonya Porter and a special granddaughter, Lexi Bolton.
