Anna Marie (Aydt) Sturman, 90, of McLeansboro, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Hamilton Memorial Rehab and Nursing Care Center in McLeansboro.
Anna worked for Southwest Bell Telephone in St. Louis, MO for 18 years. She spent all her married life in Centralia, IL, and the remainder of her years in McLeansboro, IL. Anna was a St. Louis Cardinal fan since high school, raised blueberries, and was active in her church. Anna always enjoyed the annual balloon festival.
Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Marie Sturman will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia with Father Steven Pautler officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church. She was born in Hamilton County on December 14, 1930, a daughter of Clemens J. N. and Frances H. (Nice) Aydt. Anna married William Albert Sturman on September 3, 1966, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Dahlgren. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2009.
Anna is survived by brother Clem Aydt and wife Margaret of Dahlgren; nephews, Kenneth E. Aydt and wife Pam of Dahlgren, Timothy J. Aydt and wife Paula of Findlay, OH, Dennis L. Aydt of St. Louis, MO, and Mark Aydt and wife Vicky of Moweaqua, IL; nieces, Sherry Ann Williams and husband Jeff of Villa Ridge, MO, Patricia Wall and husband Roger of Decatur, and Bonita Kay Aydt of Decatur; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, brothers Philip S. Aydt and Clyde A. Aydt, sister Dolores Aydt, and infant sister Geraldine preceded her in death.
