2021 05/15 – Robin Keen McGill

Robin Keen McGill, 56, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:01 am May 12, 2021, at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Robin worked as a cook for various restaurants and nursing homes.  She was an avid Cubs fan and will be dearly missed by her many family and friends.

A Greeting of Family and Friends will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Mr. Michael Sheets officiating. Memorials may be made in Robin’s honor to the McGill family, in the care of Linda Keen.  Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 50 people in our building at a time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone to wear a mask. She was born January 19, 1965, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to David W. and Linda S. (Payton) Keen.

Robin is survived by her mother, Linda Keen of Wayne City, Illinois; son, Tyson McGill of Kansas; sister, Gina Tucker and husband, Darrin of Wayne City, Illinois; brother, David Keen, Jr. and significant other, Susan Rightnowar of Bonnie, Illinois; two nephews, David Wayne Keen and Ryan Keen; three nieces, Brittany, Jackie, and Carey Spell; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend, Debbie Isaac.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, David W. Keen, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Mayme Keen; maternal grandparents, Ross and Betty Payton; uncle, Mark Keen; and longtime companion, Bill Williams.
