Shirley Brown, age 75 of Hudson, FL formerly of Salem, passed away on Saturday May 8, 2021 at her home. Shirley was a homemaker. She loved to spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Graveside services for Shirley Brown will be held at 10 AM on Friday May 14, 2021 at the Onstott Cemetery in Xenia. There will be a visitation on Thursday May 13th from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Memorial contributions can be made to the family and left at the Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements. Survivors include her daughters, April Brown and husband Ray, Theresa Ostrum, and Deborah Ballard and husband Roy; daughter in-law, Susie Ballard; grandchildren, SheLa, Alex, Dillan, Makyla, Zoei, Dale, Holly, Amber, Taylor, Eric, Josh, and Michael; and 20 great grandchildren.
Shirley was born on August 14, 1945 in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Coffey) Seals. She married Alvin Arlie Brown on June 27, 1979 in Central City and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1991. She then found a companionship with Richard G. Hays and they spent many years together until he passed away on October 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvin Brown; companion, Richard Hays; and son, Charles Ballard Jr.
