Bond has been set at $500,000 for a 30-year-old rural Carlyle man who has been charged in Clinton County Court with four felony sex charges.
Michael Parker is facing two Class X felony charges of predatory criminal sexual assault to a child under 13 and two Class 2 felony charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse to a victim under nine years of age.
If released on bond, Parker was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim or with anyone else under 18. He will also have to abstain from drugs with random testing.
Parker is due back in court on Monday for a review of the appointment of a public defender.
