Bond was set at $5,000 for a 49-year-old Centralia man charged with aggravated domestic battery to a former girlfriend.
Kurt Dunbar of South Sycamore was arrested by Centralia Police on Tuesday after the alleged victim reported the Monday incident following treatment at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Centralia Police say the alleged victim claimed that Dunbar grabbed her, pushed her face into the ground, and attempted to strangle her with a hoodie.
Dunbar was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim, her residence, or employment if released from jail. The public defender was appointed to represent him.
Dunbar was also arrested on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. Bond on the warrant is set at $2,500.
