The Salem Wildcats bowlers won the Danville Regional Saturday winning by over 600 poins. Colton Shoemaker was the individual champion bowling 1351. Charlie Hunter finished 2nd rolling 1341 and Kannon King 4th with a 1258. Nick Gregg, Dominick Winkler, Rhett Detering and Ryan Detering also contributed. Salem will bowl at the Alton Sectional this weekend.
Centralia also advanced finishing 3rd led by Jon Starr with a 1250 Blade Schriefer 1146 and Dylon Zimmerman 1068. Also competing for the Orphans were Aaron Gross, Hayden Blair and Nate Higgins. Jerseyville will move on finishing 2nd as will Taylorville who finished 4th.
Individually moving on were Christ Our Rock sophomore Rhett Runge and senior Jensen Boatright.
At the Cahokia Regional, Belleville East was the champ and advanced along with Marquette, Civic Memorial and West.
At Carbondale, Waterloo was the team champ and will move on along with Carterville, Herrin and Mt Vernon. Heath Ellis of Woodlawn also advanced as an individual.
