A 29-year-old St. Louis, MO man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on eastbound I-70 near milepost 54 in Fayette County.
Preliminary investigation indicates Christopher Boyd was traveling eastbound when he ran off the right side of the road and struck the end of a guardrail. His SUV then traveled down an embankment before coming to a stop.
Boyd was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Boyd was ticketed for driving while under the influence of drugs/alcohol, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol by the driver, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
The crash occurred at 12:19 Saturday morning.
