The Salem Lady Cats improved to 4-11 on the season and got their 2nd Cahokia win after a 53-31 rout of visiting Roxana. Ivy Donoho had a career night finishing with 19 points to lead all scorers. Alisia Keller added 13. Salem held a 30-6 lead at the half. The Lady Cats return to action on Saturday when they host Olney. The varsity will tip at 3:30 followed by 2 JV quarters.
The Altamont Lady Indians beat South Central 80-52 last night. In the loss, Brooklyn Garrett finished with 22 points and 21 rebounds, Taegan Webster added 12 and Brooke Cowger 8 points and 16 rebounds. Altamont Sophomore Grace Neilson needed 20 points to reach 1000 for her very short career, and she did accomplish the feat.
In a battle of state-ranked 1a teams, 2nd ranked Okawville moved to 18-0 with a 59-25 win over 10th ranked Carlyle who fell to 15-3.
