Salem Tips Off Season Today With Pair Of Games From Lawrenceville on WJBD

Coach Pete Colclasure and the Salem Wildcats open up their highly anticipated season today with a pair of games from the Capital Classic.  Salem will play in Lawrenceville starting at 11 against Marshall and then will take on Fairfield tonight at 6pm.  I’ll have both games on the air at 100.1 FM and streaming online at WJBDradio.com.

The Christopher Tournament continues today.  At 6:15 Waltonville takes on Zeigler Royalton in the consolation semifinal followed at 7:45 by Webber and Wayne City in a championship semifinal.

At Cumberland, the night opens with the consolation semifinals with OPH and Okaw Valley at 3pm followed by Vandalia and Dieterich at 4:30.  Then the championship semifinals will be played with Casey and North Clay at 6 and Newton takes on Cumberland at 7:30.

Its trophy day at Metro East Lutheran.  The day begins with the 7th place game with Dupo and Lovejoy at 2 followed by Christ Our Rock and Marissa in the 5th place game at 3:30.  At 5pm Mt Vernon and Mater Dei will play for 3rd place followed by the title game with Lift For Life taking on Metro East Lutheran.

At St Anthony, Robinson takes on Breese Central at 3, TTown and Mattoon at 4:30, Rantoul and Highland at 6 followed by St Anthony and Effingham at 7:30.

At Elverado, Agape Christian will play Dongola at 1 in a consolation semifinal followed by the championship semi with Sandoval taking on the JV from DuQuoin at 2:30.

At Mulberry Grove today, Patoka/Odin will play Ramsey at 5:15, Father McGivney and CHBC at 6:45 and then at 8:15 it’s Mulberry Grove against St Elmo/Brownstown.

The Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic will continue today.  The Gold Bracket is tonight with Gateway Legacy taking on Carbondale at 6pm then Centralia and Jerseyville will play at 7:30 for a trip to the title game.

At Wesclin, Mascoutah will take on Columbia at 6 followed by Staunton and Wesclin.
