The Salem Lady Cats dropped their 3rd straight game to open up in their 20th annual Thanksgiving Tournament, losing Saturday afternoon to Carterville 65-41. Katelyn Biegeleisen led the Lady Cats with 11 points, Kayla Felgenhaur added 10 and Emma Gregg and Alesia Keller finished with 7 each. Amayah Doyle led Carterville with 22 and sister Alecia Doyle added 19 and Kristin Edmonds finished with 11. The Lady Cats finish up tournament play Saturday afternoon when they take on Highland.
Carterville won a pair of games on Saturday including a 49-28 win over Centralia. The Annies opened the day with an impressive 50-39 win over Highland and TTown rolled Highland 66-28 in the other game. After the first 3 days of tournament action, Teutopolis is atop the standings at 2-0, Carterville is 2-1 with Centralia is 2-1 as well with Highland 1-2 and Salem 0-3.
