The Salem Wildcats bowlers have won 3 straight tournaments to open their season including Saturday’s win of the Salem Invitational by 429 pins over 2nd place Mt Vernon. Kannon King won the event averaging 227 for the tournament. Charlie Hunter was 2nd averaging 215 and Nick Gregg was 4th averaging 201. Kannon and Nick both shot 268 games to tie for high game honors while Dominick Winkler was 4th high score shooting 256.
The JV boys were 3rd beating all other varsity and JV teams in the 16-team field other than Mt Vernon and the Salem Varsity. Rhett Detering won the JV individual medalist honors rolling a 206 average for the tournament which was 4th highest among any bowler, JV or varsity. Rhett also shot a 259 game which won the JV high award and was 3rd high score for the tournament. Tyler Tanner won the 2nd high score for JV with a 235 game. Jonathon Wilkins was 4th averaging 185.
