It’s week 2 of prep football playoffs today. In Class 1a, Sesser will play at Athens. In 2a, Nashville plays at Bismarck Henning, Johnston City at Mater Dei, Vandalia at Decatur St Teresa, Pana hosts Maroa Forsyth. In 3a, Monticello at Benton, Mt Carmel hosts Carlinville, Fairfield at Williamsville.
In 4a, Breese Central will host Murphysboro today at 2pm. Freeburg hosts Carterville, Rochester at Paris and Civic Memorial welcomes Sacred Heart Griffin. In 5a, Triad is at Mahomet Seymour and Marion goes to Mascoutah. East St Louis will play in the 6a 2nd round at home against Oak Lawn Richards.
