1a Sectional semifinals were played in prep soccer last night at Freeburg. In the opener, Belleville Althoff shutout the Central Cougars 3-0 and will take on Breese Mater Dei in the finals after the Knights knocked off Columbia 1-0 in double overtime.
In 2a regional semifinals, Centralia beat Marion 1-0 at Mascoutah and will advance to take on the hosts in the finals after their 12-1 win over Olney.
Also last night at Marquette, Triad beat Jerseyville 10-0 and Highland 3-2 over Marquette. At Carbondale, the hosts nipped Anna 2-1 and Carterville shutout Waterloo 2-0.
Today in 2a regional semifinals at Civic Memorial, the hosts take on Litchfield and Mattoon plays Charleston.
