An 18-year-old Mason man was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries early Saturday night following a two-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 37 at the Interstate 57 ramp in Watson.
State Police say preliminary information indicates Samuel Brockett was driving an SUV when he pulled in front of a pickup truck driven by 31-year-old Anthony Kruger of Newport, Tennessee. Kruger struck the Brockett vehicle in the driver’s side.
While Brockett was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, Kruger declined any medical treatment.
Brockett was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
The crash occurred at 5:01 Saturday afternoon.
