KC Shows Well At Greenville Invitational

The KC men and women cross country teams competed in the Greenville Invite.

A little rain and wet running conditions didn’t keep the Blue Devils from turning in their best efforts of the season. Ty Reynolds continues to drop his time over the 8K distance. He placed 19th in a time of 27 minutes and 50 seconds. Alex Detmer was 31st in a time of 28 minutes and 55 seconds, he was followed by Sam Britt in 29 minutes and 52 seconds which was his personal best time.Almost cracking under the 30 minute mark was Caleb Klein that came in at 30 minutes flat. Also with a personal best Kolton Shoemaker crossed the finish line in 30 minutes and 26 seconds.Andrew Stevenson also had a personal best time of 30 minutes and 55 seconds and Ryan Gerdes was right behind in 30 minutes and 59 seconds. . Alex Huegen finished in 33 minutes and 47 seconds.  As a team the Devils were 7th of 11 full teams. Greenville won the race with Heartland taking 2nd.

The Blue Angels were led by Megan Cook, she was 12th in a time of 20 minutes and 36 seconds. Summer Chelf was 19th in 21 minutes and 6 seconds. Cayla Kruger was next for KC in 31st in a time of 22 minutes and 16 seconds. Mya Albers was 4th for the Angels, followed by Maggie Fitzgerald and Macie Hargis. The women were 5th out of 8 full teams, Heartland was 1st and Webster College was second.
