The Salem Wildcats soccer team will play this afternoon in regional semifinal action at Columbia against the host Eagles starting at 5pm. Salem opened up the post season with a win Saturday over Pinckneyville 8-1.
The 2nd semifinal at 7pm will feature the Red Devils of Murphysboro taking on Waterloo Gibault.
Also in regional semifinal play today at Altamont Newton takes on St Anthony followed by Altamont and Hillsboro. Breese Central hosts a semifinal match at 4:30. At Greenville top-seed Mater Dei is in action at 4 followed by Father McGivney and Wood River. At Massac County, Althoff takes on Mt Carmel.
