KC Cross Country Show Well At Very Tough Heartland JUCO Invite

The Kaskaskia College cross country teams travel to Normal, Illinois for the Heartland JUCO Invite.
The Blue Angels were 4th out of 6 teams, while the Blue Devils were 5th out of 6 full teams. The meet featured 3 teams ranked in the top 25 of the NJCAA D2.
The Blue Angels were led by Megan Cook, she placed 9th in a time of 20:23 minutes, Summer Chlef was 16th, followed by Calya Krueger in 27th. Maggie Fizgerald, Mya Albers, Macie Hargis were the next to cross the line.
The Blue Devils were led by Ty Reynolds in 29:25 minutes in 21st place. Alex Detmer was 25th, Caleb Klein 32nd, Ryan Gerdes 38th, Sam Britt 40th. Andrew Stevenson placed 44th and Alex Huegen 56th.
The host Heartland Community College placed 1st in both the women’s 5K and the men’s 8K.
