Illinois State Police say three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Bilek Road just south of Hicks Road in rural Alma late Tuesday afternoon.
Preliminary investigative details indicate an SUV driven by 58-year-old Lisa Miller of Alma was traveling northbound on Bilek Road when it met an oncoming southbound utility vehicle driven by 28-year-old Shaun Huerta of Alma. For an unknown reason, the Miller SUV crossed the center of the roadway and collided with the Huerta vehicle. After impact, the Miller SUV overturned.
Both drivers along with a passenger in the Huerta vehicle, 65-year-old Debra Huerta of Lisle, Illinois, were all transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
State Police ticketed Miller for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
The crash occurred at 4:46 Tuesday afternoon.
