On Tuesday afternoon the Salem Lady Wildcats golf team hosted the Mt Vernon Lady Rams on the front 9 of the Salem Country Club for the Lady Cats final regular home match. Salem dealt a sound defeat to the Lady Rams by a score of 186 to 245, leaving Salem with a 9-1 record for regular season play.
Co-Medalists for the match-up were Kenzie Anderson and Alyssa Paul who both posted a 3 over 40. The other 2 Salem golfers who contributed to the winning score were Mak Mann with a 50, and Maya Susmena with a 56.
In addition Jaryn Haarmann posted a 64 and Chesney Clark posted a 73. Kiley Vieira, and Kylie Johnson also participated in the match.
The Lady Cats team will travel to Mt Vernon on Thursday to participate in regional competition. Teams and individuals who qualify at regionals will then advance to sectional competition in Waterloo on the following Monday.
