Lady Bobcats Season Ends In Regional Semifinal…..Jr High Softball Roundup

The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats season came to an end with an 11-2 loss to Carmi-White County at the Flora Regional.

Mya Russell had both RBI for the Lady Bobcats as their season ends at 11-8. Carmi will play Mt Carmel in the title game after their 10-6 win over Flora.

The Centralia Lady Tigers won their regional opener over Highland 6-5.  They will advance to tonight’s regional final at Mascoutah against the hosts who beat Wesclin 13-3.

In Class S today, Selmaville will take on Sandoval at 5:30 at the Little League Complex with the winner getting Willow Grove/St Mary’s Centralia in Monday’s semifinal.  Patoka beat Iuka in quarterfinal play last night 22-0 and Raccoon beat Odin 10-0.

In Raccoon’s win, Bria Murray struck out 11 over 5 innings and gave up 2 hits.  Kaylee Bowdler added 3 singles, Maya Braddy had 3 hits with a double and triple, Kloi Spencer doubled and Payton Wottowa and Lilly Tate both added hits.

In Class M at Nashville, Pinckneyville is into Monday’s title game with their 10-1 win over Sparta and they will get Nashville who beat Pinckneyville 204/St Bruno 11-7.

Carlyle won their regional they hosted beating Breese 11-1 in the title game to advance to the SIJHSAA State Tournament.

Rome is in the Fairfield championship after they beat NCOE 7-0.  Albion is in the championship with their 14-1 win over Fairfield.
