The Salem Super Cruise drew 70 entries on Saturday for the show held behind the Super Eight Motel and the cruise through town.

Ken Carpenter organized the event again this year.

“Had a lot of foot traffic.  Vendors were down this year because of Covid but I think they ended up having 15 or 16 vendors.  Other than that it all worked out great.”

Carpenter says the number of vehicles was also down some due to a competing car show on Saturday in Flora.

Tom Brough with his 1933 Ford Coupe won the Best of Show award.

Carpenter says the Salem Super Cruise will return next year.

Other top winners were:

  • Best Motorcycle – Jim and Deb Goostree
  • Best Chevy – Ben Webster 1955 Nomad
  • Best Ford – Tom Brough 1933 Ford Coupe
  • Best Paint – Barbara Neal Purple Cuda
  • Mayor’s Choice – Yvonne Johnson 1964 Impala
