Centralia Police are looking for a hit and run driver of a vehicle left at a crash scene in the 600 block of Robinett that was later reported as stolen.
The car reportedly hit a parked SUV at 12:35 Monday morning. A person was seen getting out of the vehicle and running on foot. The owner of the vehicle called police at 5:57 Monday morning to report the car had been stolen from his home.
During the search, Centralia Police stopped two men walking at Kell and Lincoln and asked if they had seen anything. One of them was arrested on an unrelated Clinton County warrant for failure to appear in court for driving on a suspended license. 19-year-old Aaron Smith of East Kell Street in Centralia was later transported to the Clinton County Jail at Carlyle.
