The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating thefts from two vehicles and the theft of license plates from the third.
Deputies were told someone broke into a car in the 2200 block of Mills Cart Road in Salem sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning. The only thing reported missing were some papers and her insurance cards.
The second vehicle burglary was reported late Saturday afternoon in the 3300 block of Rough Lane in rural Salem. Money is reported missing.
The sheriff’s department received a report of license plates stolen from a car parked at Biggies on Route 161 near I-57 in rural Centralia sometime during the past three to four weeks.
